ABOUT OUR FARM...

Our Farm is located just 20-25 minutes southeast of Minneapolis in Inver Grove Heights.  We are a hobby farm on 3 acres with many chickens, ducks, a dog, new baby bunnies, horses, a llama, a donkey, and three friendly goats.  We also have land to run, play games, work on projects, discover nature, listen and watch for birds, dig for worms, harvest a garden, and just enjoy being outside.  Our goal is to let children discover how to care for our animals and respect nature while having fun with their friends.

Our Farm Camp was inspired by a mother-daughter team Linda Becker and Martha Hoeppner.  Both Linda and Martha are trained educators and love teaching children.  Martha saw so many benefits from visiting her parent's farm with her own children that she and Linda decided to share their experience with others.  Chris, Linda's husband is also an integral part of the farm and making it work.  He has years of experience working with children and now that he's retired, he has joined the farm camp team full-time helping with chores, games, building things, and educating the kids on all things nature.  We make a great team and love introducing children of all ages and abilities to our farm.

 

We are entering our 11th year of Farm Camp with many returning farmers from year to year.  What we love about camp is seeing children explore nature together and build friendships and special memories from summer to summer.
